Provenance:
Acquired during Spring 2024 from a local garden center as a young specimen in a six-inch nursery container and introduced into the living collection of Faeryn Grove as part of the estate’s expanding perennial garden.
Description:
Red Velvet Yarrow is a hardy perennial valued for its flattened clusters of deep crimson-red flowers and finely divided, fern-like foliage. Like other yarrows, it attracts pollinators and demonstrates strong drought tolerance once established.
Current Condition:
The specimen remains living but is in severe decline. It is currently housed within The Conservatory while recovery efforts continue. Survival is uncertain.
Observation Log:
June 2026: Relocated to The Conservatory following a significant decline in health. Recovery efforts initiated. Condition remains critical.
Spring 2024: Acquired from a local garden center in a six-inch nursery container and introduced into the living collection of Faeryn Grove.
